Effect of Pithy Formulas-Oriented Teaching Method on High School Senior One Students' Ability to Analyze Redox Reactions

Abstract The aim of this research was to explore the effect of the pithy formulas-oriented teaching method on students' ability to analyze redox reactions in the teaching of redox reaction in senior one. The analytical ability includes the extent and speed of analysis for the simple redox reactions and the depth of analysis for the redox reactions with different complexities. The results showed that the pithy formula-oriented teaching method had a good immediate effect and retention effect on the formation and development of students' analytical ability in the experimental group. Students in both experimental and control groups improved their analytical ability significantly in the teaching process, representing a different process of ability development. Some suggestions on teaching and research were given.
