Abstract The noble gas(Ng)element helium has a 2-electron closed shell structure and extremely strong chemical inertness, making it very difficult to combine with other elements to form compounds. However, this characteristic is not absolute. With the change of reaction conditions, such as under high temperature and high pressure,it can still form bonds with other elements. Many helium compounds that may stably exist are also predicted by advanced quantum chemical calculations. On the basis of the original, this paper attempts to introduce the synthesis research progress of helium compounds from the perspective of chemical bonds, that is,how to form local chemical bonds, hydrogen bonds and-range van der Waals forces.
