Abstract Taking the activity of "making big crystals" in Xiuquan Foreign Language School of Huadu District for example, this paper investigated the status of students carrying out experiments at home, analyzed the reasons that students failed to participate in activities, assessed the environmental friendliness of this activity, and investigated the effect of home experiment activities on students from three dimensions:the basic concept, experimental skills and emotional attitude. On the premise of environmental protection, this article put forward the basic strategies of organizing students to carry out home experiment activities in order to improve students' knowledge, emotion, will and practice.
