The experimental design for this study was one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of this study were as followed:(1) significant differences weren't found between the pretest and posttest scores in achievement test on "acid, base and salt"; (2) significant differences were found between the pretest and posttest scores in divergent thinking test; (3) significant differences also existed between the pretest and posttest scores in the "progression of experiment schemes design" subscale of self-efficacy questionnaire. Results indicated that open-ended substances identification experiments had significant effect on students' divergent thinking of designing substances identification experiment schemes, and had effect on students' self-efficacy of solving problem.

In the process of playing chess, the system could automatically judge whether the move, the capture or the entered chemical equation was right or not. In the system, there were three function buttons including "Start" "Takeback"and "Exit", a menu bar and a time showing textbox. With the help of this system, students felt less bored and improved their learning efficiency of chemical terms. Besides, it strengthened communication and cooperation among students and organically blended games and chemical terms teaching.

Chinese Journal of Chemical Education. 2017, 38 (3): 48-54. ;  doi: 10.13884/j.1003-3807hxjy.2016050014
Full Text: PDF (10189KB) ( 36 )
Show Abstract ( 198 )

In the combination of handheld-technology digital experiment and traditional experiment, it was necessary to explore whether the "supply voltage" and "copper sulfate solution concentration" would affect measurement of the sensor, before using pH sensor to solve the core problem "to explore the change of pH in the vicinity of anode in the process of electrolyzing copper sulfate solution". This paper made comparative analysis and comprehensive analysis of tetra-representation. The conclusions were:(1) the existence of the power supply was the essential cause of the sensor's influence, the greater voltage, the greater impact; (2) the concentration of copper sulfate solution would affect the measurement of the sensor, but it was not a simple linear relationship between the two; (3) the change trend of pH curve was consistent with the fact, which reflected the real state of ion migration and ion reaction during the electrolysis process. It would help to guide readers to look at the use of pH sensor in the electrolytic cell with a new perspective and deepen the understanding of the electrolytic process. And it provides a reference for the relevant content teaching.

Based on the research, this paper designed a demonstration experiment that could test Na and Cl2. This experiment was easy to operate and with obvious phenomenon, it could effectively support the teaching of electrolysis.
