Abstract  The development of quantum chemistry provides not only vivid teaching cases, but also specific and visual interpretation for chemical phenomena and concepts for chemistry teaching. Based on the core of "interaction between researching and teaching", the potential application of quantum chemistry calculation in college chemistry teaching was elaborated by providing the specific examples of quantum chemistry advanced achievement assisted teaching as well as theoretical teaching assisted by quantum chemistry software. This proposed educational mode by combining quantum chemistry calculation and chemistry teaching will play a crucial role in promoting the development of chemical course, the reform of chemistry teaching, and the cultivation of students' scientific research innovation ability.
