Abstract  This paper designed an experiment of ethylene production by dehydration in a laboratory, which is simple in design and operation, obvious in phenomenon, high in safety, efficiency and yield. Besides, this paper also designed an orthogonal experiment based on the new production with the amount of ethanol, reaction heat, the distance between ethanol and flame as variables, to explore the best demonstration experiment effect of the new scheme of ethylene procluction by dethydration in laboratory while yield was ensured.
