Teaching Reform of “Mechanical Basis of Chemical Equipment” Course Based on OBE Concept

Abstract  With the goal of training applied talents, teaching reform and practice of the “mechanical basis of chemical equipment” course and its curriculum design were carried out by using OBE concept. In this paper, the teaching reforms were instructed by the OBE concept combined with the CDIO and LBL teaching modes. Herein, teaching reforms including teaching content, construction of online course, extracurricular teaching, curriculum design and assessment methods were performed. Results showed that the applicability and outcome of the course were enhanced significantly. It not only improves the firmness of theoretical knowledge for the students, but also enhances students' practical ability, application ability of knowledge and innovative ability. Furthermore, it is more closely connected to the real application. As a result, the output of high-quality applied talents was effectively realized.
