Abstract Hollow magnetic metal micro/nano materials have wide applications in many fields such as national defense and people’s livelihood, new energy, environmental remediation, biomedicine and so on. The efficient synthesis of hollow magnetic metal micro/nano materials with excellent performance has attracted wide attention in material chemistry. In this paper, we have reviewed the research progress in types and synthesis methods of hollow magnetic metal micro/nano materials to provide references for further research and optimization of the materials.
