Abstract In this paper, challenges in current EMI course of analytical chemistry experiments have been explored from practical experience in details. To improve the quality of the EMI course, several important factors, including textbook development, options in teaching methods, laboratory construction and course management, have been discussed and some fundamental suggestions have been also provided. As the consequence, this study would show practical significance in the development of EMI for compulsory courses in university internationalization.
