Abstract Based on the background of the construction of “course ideological and political education” in university basic organic chemistry laboratory, this paper discusses the educational goal of course ideological and political education, the integration of course ideological and political education into experimental teaching, the construction strategy of course ideological and political education, and the exploration of course ideological and political education and assessment methods. Combined with the experimental teaching process, the teaching design and practice of course ideological and political education in the teaching of basic organic chemistry laboratory were discussed.
