Abstract  The “1+X” certificate system and loose-leaf teaching material are the focus and direction of the construction of a modern vocational education system with Chinese characteristics. The key to the development and design of the loose-leaf teaching material is the task orientation of enterprises and the standard of vocational skill level. Taking the use of spectrophotometer in the typical work task of the food biotechnology specialty in secondary vocational school as an example, the development and design process and basic ideas of the loose-leaf teaching materials based on the “1+X” certificate are provided, and the teaching implementation is carried out. The teaching highlights of the loose-leaf teaching materials based on the “1+X” certificate are summarized.
