Abstract Scientific inquiry and practice are the foundations for learning chemistry, applying chemistry, and developing chemistry. With the theme of “salt review” and the project of “sodium bicarbonate type fruit and vegetable wash salt”, this lesson reviews and applies the properties of sodium chloride, sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, so as to develop students’ ability to use chemical knowledge to solve practical problems in different scenarios, and finally complete the project objectives. In this process, from cause to effect, from qualitative to quantitative, from nature to application, students are constantly guided to use old knowledge to obtain new knowledge, improve cognition, and advance thinking.
