Abstract  Pyridine derivatives are widely used in research fields such as organic synthetic chemistry, materials chemistry, coordination chemistry, and drug research and development, and therefore arouse the research interests of chemists. This article reviews the recent research progress in the synthesis of polysubstituted pyridine derivatives and introduces the applications of these compounds in the fields of medicine and pesticides. It also provides reference for the synthesis and application research of polysubstituted pyridine derivatives.
