Abstract This paper compares and analyzes the changes of evaluation recommendations in the 2011 and 2022 editions of the compulsory education chemistry curriculum standards, summarizes the new features of evaluation recommendations in the 2022 edition of the compulsory education chemistry curriculum standards, and then proposes inspirational suggestions for new curriculum evaluation practices and reforms, with a view to providing references for understanding and implementing the new curriculum standards.
