Abstract Phosphorus chemistry has a long history and strong vitality in organic chemistry. Many famous name reactions involve the synthesis of organophosphorus chemicals or the application of phosphorus reagents. This paper reviews and summarizes important name reactions related to phosphorus chemistry, and introduces the important progress and applications with some latest examples.
