Abstract NMR is one of the most fully researched and widely used spectroscopy techniques so far, covering the fields of biology, medicine, mineral exploration, chemistry, etc. And many outstanding scientists have won the Nobel Award for their NMR research.Among them,Professor Yu Fu-Chun and his colleague Professor Proctor discovered that the chemical environment in which the nucleus is located affects the chemical displacement of the nucleus, which is also known as the Proctor-Yu effect.Immediately afterwards,Professor Yu Fu-Chun found that the NMR spectral lines of SbF-6 ions were split in the aqueous solution of KSbF6,and finally confirmed that it was caused by spin coupling. These major achievements are rarely mentioned in domestic and foreign textbooks. This paper briefly describes Professor Yu Fu-Chun's growth experience and Professor Yu Fu-Chun's significant contributions to the development of NMR.
