Abstract Single-metal-atom anchored carbon nitride(SMAs/g-C3N4) is a novel photocatalyst developed in recent years.Due to its unique structural advantages and excellent catalytic performance,it has demonstrated significant potential for applications in various fields,including clean energy development and environmental protection.This overview provides a brief introduction to the structure,synthesis,regulation of coordination environments,and photocatalytic applications of SMAs/g-C3N4,based on a review of the literature.
