Abstract For the calculation of pH and the plotting of titration curves in complex acid-base titration systems,a general formula for high-order equation calculation of pH at any time during the titration was derived.Based on the equation,a combination of“goal seek”,“macro”and“solver”commands in Excel software was employed to develop a general approach for plotting curves of various acid-base titration system.Moreover,the approach was encapsulated into a user-friendly tool TitraChart through VBA code,with which the teaching practice shows that this tool is easy to master,time-efficient,and highly accurate in calculation,making it an excellent assistant for theoretical teaching and experimental research of acid-base titration analysis.
