AbstractThe Guidelines for Teachers’ Application of Generative Artificial Intelligence (First Edition) clarifies the application norms and implementation boundaries for the digital transformation of chemistry education. This paper summarizes an intelligent teaching tool system composed of general large language models, chemistry-specific tools, image and video generation software, comprehensive educational platforms, Chemistry API, and generative agents represented by Hermes Agent and OpenClaw. Centering on six application dimensions including learning transformation, teaching quality improvement, education advancement, evaluation efficiency enhancement, management upgrading, and research innovation, it sorts out the implementation paths and typical practical cases of generative AI in classroom teaching, experimental innovation, large-scale instrument training, intelligent evaluation, interesting teaching, scientific research empowerment and laboratory management. It points out that chemistry education should weaken rote knowledge indoctrination, focus on cultivating students’ higher-order thinking literacy such as innovative thinking, critical thinking, strategic thinking, dialectical thinking and systematic thinking, and adhere to the bottom line of talent cultivation as well as safety and ethical norms. It is expected to provide references for frontline chemistry teachers to apply generative artificial intelligence in teaching practice in a standardized, scientific and efficient manner.
