Effect of Non-intellectual Factors on Inquiry Study of Students in Chemistry with Different Epistemological Beliefs

Abstract This paper gives a quantitative analysis on effect of non-intellectual factors on inquiry study in chemistry by fuzzy synthetic assessment. For typical constructing epistemologists, interest and volition are the most important non-intellectual factors affecting inquiry study in chemistry, and putting hypothesis and collecting evidence are affected most remarkably in all factor of inquiry process. For typical mechanical epistemologists, motivation is the most important non-intellectual factors affecting inquiry study in chemistry, and putting hypothesis and making conclusion are affected most remarkably in all factors of inquiry process. Moreover, some suggestion is given for doing well in inquiry study in chemistry.
