Abstract This paper developed chemical academic self-concept scale for middle school students based on the theories of academic self-concept and relevant scales. The statistical analysis showed that the chemical academic self-concept of middle school students included four factors such as chemical academic confidence, chemical academic self-recognition, chemical academic self-experience, and chemical academic self-regulation. The scale had good reliability and validity to reflect the status of the chemical academic self-concept of middle school students.
