Abstract This paper analyzed ferrous ion and ferrous hydroxide which was more easily oxidized in the air, based on comparing the standard equilibrium constants of the oxidation reactions, standard electrode potential of negative electrode pair and electromotive force of primary battery formed by the relevant reactions.
