Show Abstract ( 84 )
Scientific literacy consists of science content and its companion meanings. Based on this model, the authorexamined the purposes of junior middle school chemistry curriculum (JMSCC) in past more than twenty years in China by use of document analysis. The JMSCC was divided into four stages and the purpose of the JMSCC in each stage was analyzed. The change trend of the purpose of the JMSCC during this period of time was identified, which historically displays the progress of scientific literacy eductiom in the JSSCC.
