Abstract This paper introduced the team-based guiding teaching method of organic chemistry in medical universities that required teachers to eleborately design their teaching and systematically compile guiding outline. According to the guiding outline, teachers should guide students to complete the procedures in the form of team-based teaching method such as material preparation, before-class discussions, formative evaluation records, in-class explanation and exercise solution, so as to enhance students' ability of autonomous learning.
