Abstract Taking the experiment of decolorization and degradation of dye wastewater as an example, this paper discussed the application of PBL mode in chemical experiment teaching and put forward the operation procedures and teaching evaluation. The experiment teaching took problem solving as task driven based on PBL mode, played the guiding role of problems in the learning process, encouraged students to actively participate in the teaching process. These methods could mobilized students' learning initiative and enthusiasm, improved students' ability to master the knowledge and practical ability, cultivated students' creative spirit and innovative ability.
