Abstract Relying on the development of chemistry branch of Jilin University, we will build first-class physical chemistry courses of Jilin University and cultivate first-class innovative talents in chemistry. This paper mainly introduces the construction of first-class courses of physical chemistry in Jilin University, including curriculum development experience, teaching team building, teaching characteristics and innovation, teaching reform of physical chemistry courses, teaching materials, teaching research projects and published teaching articles, teaching and research combination. It is hoped to help improve the teaching quality of the physical chemistry course and the cultivation of the ability of innovative talents.
