Abstract  With the development and application of sophisticated analytical instruments in the chemistry frontier, the chemical analysis of organic chemicals has fallen down to ground in the recent decades. However, due to the low cost and widely accessibility, the chemical analysis should still be able to play some roles in the quantitative or qualitative analysis of organic compounds. This paper started from the introduction of typical chemical analysis methods, followed by the summarization of different group of organic compounds, and the discussion of some complicated or misunderstood methods, as nihydrin test, Fehling & Benedict tests.
