Abstract The experiment indicated that the white precipitate of Fe(OH)2 transforming into celadon was not caused by the oxidation of dissolved oxygen, probably because the generated Fe(OH)2 precipitation adsorbed ferrous ions, and the celadon was caused by the accumulation of ferrous ions, which was confirmed by the solution did not appear red when adding sulfuric acid and KSCN solution in the light celadon precipitate. Then this article used sodium hydroxide ethanol solution (saturated) reacting with the new prepared ferrous sulfate, in which the white floc could be seen for hours.
