Abstract Principles of chemical engineering is a professional basic course for chemical engineering and related majors. There are a lot of content, calculations and difficulties in classroom interaction. Rain Classroom intelligent teaching tools could help to solve the common problems in teaching. Inhere the application of Rain Classroom intelligent teaching tools in the teaching of principles of chemical engineering includes the aspects of pre-class teaching design, interactions and quizzes in-class, review and information feedback after-class, and course evaluation mechanism, so as to achieve student-centered and scientific evaluation of students’ learning process and effect. The intelligent teaching mode based on Rain Classroom has a significant role in the promotion of teaching. Attendance is significantly improved, and the classroom atmosphere is active. The timely information feedback helps teachers grasp the learning situation of each student, which leads to more personalized teaching.
