Abstract According to the requirements of the construction of new engineering disciplines, it is necessary to actively explore training modes that conform to the characteristics of the times and the laws of engineering education. In view of the characteristics of principles of chemical engineering course, two modern network teaching platforms, “Rain Classroom” and “Duifene” are introduced as blended teaching tools. Rain Classroom has realized a pre-class, in-class, and after-class three step teaching mode. By submitting chapter mind maps and “Liang Kao Bang” assignments, combined with classroom discussions, Duifene overcomes the difficulties of students’ learning one by one. This teaching mode stimulates students’ enthusiasm for independent learning in many ways, increases classroom interaction, and improves teaching quality.
