Abstract It is the important basis of title and abstract to be downloaded and read for paper. Therefore, it is of great significance for normalization expression in the writing of the title and abstract. Combined with practical cases, the common problems in the writing process of title and abstract of chemical analysis scientific papers and its corresponding attentions are proposed.It is indicated that the title could be embellished by referring to three elements, including method, material and element (or component) fordetermination.The title could be normalized from three aspects: accuracy and specificity, highlighting innovative content and facilitating retrieval. The writing method of abstract is discussed from three logical levels, such as problem statement at the beginning (or significance for determination), research content in the middle, and results at the end. Simultaneously, the important research content or innovation points should be highlighted.
