Abstract  In terms of the strong theoretical and abstract characteristics of inorganic non-metallic material chemistry course, this paper discusses how to introduce cutting-edge scientific research results into teaching. Application of point defect engineering in hydrogen energy technology is taken as an example. Through case studies, we intend to deepen students' understanding of theoretical knowledge, stimulate students' interests in learning, and cultivate students' scientific research ability.
