Abstract Safety and environmental protection for pharmaceutical process is a compulsory core course for undergraduates majoring in pharmaceutical engineering. However, its curriculum system was not perfect. Based on the concepts of OBE and EHS, the curriculum has been constructed and improved from the aspects of curriculum objectives, curriculum contents, ideological and political teaching, textbook, teaching methods, curriculum exam and assessment methods. Some innovative achievements and experiences were achieved. The curriculum objectives have been made. The curriculum contents have been set innovatively. The ideological and political teaching has been carried out. The textbook has been edited. The appropriate teaching methods have been put forward. The curriculum exam and assessment methods have been established. The useful reference can be provided for the teaching and construction of similar courses in other colleges and universities in China.
