Abstract  Nano catalyst usually has high catalytic activity because of the size effect. However, the active components of nano-catalysts are easy to be sintered under high temperature conditions such as preparation process and reaction process, which results in a series of problems such as the degradation of catalytic stability. Designing structured catalyst such as core/yolk shell catalyst is one of the most effective measures to improve the sintering resistance of nano-catalyst. In this paper, firstly, the sintering mechanism of nanocatalysts is introduced. Subsequently, the design strategies of core/yolk shell structured catalyst are discussed. Finally, the preparation methods of core/yolk shell structured catalyst are summarized, providing reference for their application in high temperature reactions.
