Abstract This paper changed the sodium silicate solution concentration and reaction temperature respectively, recorded the growth of “chemical garden” over time, and used mobile phone macro photography technology to explore the factors influencing the experimental effect of “chemical garden” of various metal salts (CaCl2, MnCl2, FeCl3, FeSO4·7H2O, CuSO4·5H2O, NiSO4·6H2O). The experimental results were also theoretically explained in conjunction with the “chemical garden” formation mechanism.
