Abstract The application of large instruments in undergraduate organic chemistry experimental teaching plays a crucial role in enhancing the scientific research literacy and ability of undergraduate students. This article takes the synthesis of n-bromobutane as an example, and combines the practical experience in small class organic chemistry experimental teaching. Through careful design of lesson plans and interactive teaching methods, the utilization rate of gas chromatograph and NMR spectrometer in organic chemistry experimental teaching is improved, and students' interests in learning and operating large instruments is stimulated, and their scientific research literacy and innovative ability is cultivated.
