Abstract Addressing the prevalent issue of low learning interest in public chemistry experiment classes among non-chemistry majors,we conducted a thorough analysis of the underlying reasons, and we proposed an interest-oriented experimental project reform plan.Illustrating through three typical experimental teaching cases related to chemistry, nutrition, and health,we discussed in detail the importance and necessity of optimizing the integration of experimental content, promoting group cooperative learning, enhancing the application of experimental techniques, and sharing experimental teaching resources. These teaching management strategies are crucial for enhancing students’ interest in experiments, thereby providing beneficial assistance in fostering their experimental skills and scientific innovative thinking. Our aim is to foster a comprehensive educational environment that nurtures students’ passion for scientific exploration and critical thinking.
