CAO Huiqun's Translation of Modern Chemistry Concepts and Exploration of Scientific Education

Abstract CAO Huiqun was a modern Chinese educator and chemist.In his early years,Mr.Cao went to the United Kingdom and studied modern science systematically,and returned to China in 1911, a historical turning point,contributed half of his life to the introduction of chemical concepts and the promotion of chemical education.From the three dimensions of philosophy in chemistry education,terminology translation,and promotion of science popularization and industry,combined with the examples ofCao Huiqun theeditor-in-chief for journals and periodicals,and support for the research and development of domestic chemical instruments,Cao Huiqun's proactive contributions in the historical tides of scientific education are reviewed.Cao Huiqun's image of“Grand Educator”on promoting the construction of the scientific education system in modern China,and devotion to the salvation of the nation through scientific education,is worthy of being learned and inherited by younger generations.
