Curriculum Development of “History of Chinese Chemistry” Towards Promoting the Connection Between High School and University and Disciplinary Literacy Enhancement

Abstract For students majoring in“chemistry”in engineering universities,it is very important to enhance their interests in learning chemistry and complete the transition from college to university.Therefore,Northwestern Polytechnical University took the lead in offering the course“History of Chinese Chemistry”in the Strong Foundation Program of“Chemistry”.By setting reasonable course content,teaching methods,and assessment methods,students’ disciplinary literacy in chemistry can be effectively enhanced,promoting their transition from major to university and laying a foundation for their subsequent professional learning.
