Improvement of Ammonia Soda Process for Preparing Sodium Carbonate

Abstract In view of low yield and environment pollution caused by overflow of ammonia in the ammonia soda process for preparing sodium carbonate, this paper improved the experiment by adding ammonia in 3 times and taking phenolphthalein as indicator to control the addition of ammonia. These methods could increase the yield, shorten the reaction time and reduce the air pollution in the ammonia soda process for preparing sodium carbonate.
