Abstract The synthetic methods of quinazolinones with anthranilonitriles, anthranilic acids, isatoic anhydrides, anthranilamides, ortho-nitrobenzamides, ortho-iodobenzamides, ortho-halobenzoic acids, ortho-benzonitriles as substrates and their research progress were described and briefly discussed in this paper.
