Abstract This paper introduced students' experiment inquiry of preparation of pH-sensitive sodium alginate microspheres using self-made natural anthocyanin indicator based on STEM education. This experiment was simple to operate, non-pollution, with obvious phenomena and less reagents, through which students' understanding of ionic bond was deepened, and they were able to describe the effect of ionic bond on properties of functional polymer materials.
