Abstract  Vitamin, a well-known name, is closely related to body metabolism as one of the six major nutrients. Although the human body only needs to consume trace amounts of vitamins every day, as a coenzyme or cofactor, it is involved in many physiological activities of the human body, such as glucose metabolism, fatty acid synthesis, and genetic material construction, etc., which is essential for maintaining the normal life function of the human body. Based on the molecular structure and chemical properties of vitamins, this paper comprehensively expounds the essence of vitamins necessary for human body.
