Teaching Practice of Scientific Research Results and Advanced Technology in Environmental Chemistry:Adsorption Effect of Pollutants and Particles in the Aqueous Environment

Abstract For better teaching the theory of “adsorption of particulate matter in water” in undergraduate environmental chemistry course, this paper discusses the application of cutting-edge scientific research and advanced technology to explain classical adsorption theory, expand the knowledge points of course, cultivate innovative thinking, and stimulate students' interests in scientific research and application challenges by case study. Based on integrating the teaching material outline and frontier research in “four steps teaching design”, we aim to specify and visualize the knowledge point, in order to promote students' understanding and improve their scientific literacy.
