Abstract The rule of stoichiometric number ratio is unfavorable to the implementation of SI stipulation about amount of substance, inconsistent with equivalent law, unable to indicate property of reaction and to express water hardness, alkalinity, resin exchange capacity and electrolysis law, and has more complex calculation. However, the rule of equal amount of substance can inherit and develop equivalent law and make the calculation of titration simple.
