Abstract  This paper expounded the connotation and function of the model and the process of modeling, and discussed two modes of modeling teaching, the differences between modeling teaching and traditional teaching, the value of modeling teaching in improving students' conceptual understanding. Modeling teaching put forward higher requirements for teachers, so teachers should pay more attention to improve students' understanding of the model and provide students with opportunities to participate in the process of modeling.
