This paper introduced and analyzed several typical cases involving interdisciplinary contents in mainstream textbook Chemistry:Concepts and Application for American high school. Combined with the perspective of the current basic education curriculum reform of our country, this paper drew a number of implications for the practice of curriculum reform, and provided a reference for the selection and application of the contents in teaching.
Comparative Study of the Senior High School Chemistry Textbooks of China and International Curriculum IB: Atomic Structure and Oxidation Reduction
Research and Practice of One Test Question for Each Lesson
This paper introduced the necessity and types of one test question for each lesson that could extract the basic principles from the existing knowledge and apply them to the study of new knowledge, and compile exercises to expose the root of the students' learning problems and solve them fundamentally.
Statistical Analysis of the Research Literature of Chemical Thought Based on Chinese Database of CNKI
This paper made a detailed statistical analysis of 104 literatures about chemical thought retrieved from CNKI from 2002-2016 from the 5 aspects such as the basic information of the literature, the region of authors, the affiliation of authors, the cooperation of authors, and the research contents of literature. The result showed that:(1) The number of research papers increased year by year, but the total number was still small; (2) the research groups were relatively concentrated, but had not formed a stable core group; (3) the research content covered a wide range, but was lack of empirical, high station. Revelation was as follows:(1) To expand the scope of researchers, and to strengthen collaborative research; (2) to optimize the research content, and to innovative research methods.
Cohesion Teaching in Organic Chemistry from Senior High School to University: Taking Hydrocarbon Oxygenated Derivatives as Example
Chemistry Frontier Resources to Promote Professional Development of Chemistry Teacher
The frontier resources about chemistry researches could be obtained through literature retrieval and reading. It had special meaning for the development of chemistry teachers, for examples, strengthening subject knowledge, promoting disciplinary visions and keeping pace with the times, showing scientific methods about the frontier research, and contributing to build subject concepts. Applying these discipline frontier resources in chemistry class, was not limited to set teaching contexts and new test questions, also helpful to construct school-based curriculum, the innovative design of the experiments and merging with science reading.
Regional Symposium on Teaching Research: World Café Methodology
World Café methodology was a flexible format for hosting large group dialogue around a particular subject. It could be applied to the regional symposium on teaching research and meet the need of teachers to receive peer reviews and assessments. The World Café allowed deeper interaction between teachers and facilitated the resolutions of some tricky questions little discussed at the present regional teaching symposiums.
Status of Chemistry Anxiety of First Grade Students in Senior High School
Flipped Classroom Teaching of Primary Battery Design Based on Educational Games
Based on the comparative analysis of the relevant literature and the characteristics of educational game, this paper designed the flipped classroom of primary battery design in senior high school chemistry on the basis of educational game. Used educational game to fully arouse students' interests in learning and improve the learning efficiency of flipped classroom before class.
Application of Virtual Reality Technology in Teaching of Chemical Molecular Structure
This paper made VR3D animation for spatial structure of the diamond crystal structure and ammonia molecules by software VESTA, Jmol and Blender. Through simple interactive web design and VR glasses, students could experience a sense of immersive experience of virtual reality technology and their interests were stimulated, which provided a reference for the teaching of chemical molecular structure.
Quantitative Experiment of Carbon Dioxide in Cylinder
This paper designed a quantitative experiment of carbon dioxide in cylinder, and the experiment was simple and easy to operate, through which students could understand the ideal gas state equation and the gas constant.
Effect of Concentration on Properties of Sulfuric Acid
Improved Experiment of Testing Product of Candle Burning
This paper improved the experimental operation methods of testing product of candle burning, using a transparent cylindrical plastic bottle without a bottom, 90 degrees spherical drying tube with curved tail pipe, etc. Obvious experimental phenomena could be observed:Water mist appeared quickly on the plastic bottle wall and in the empty drying pipe, and lime water became turbid, which illustrated the products of candle burning were water and carbon dioxide.
Preparation of Pure Nitrogen Dioxide Gas by Green and Simple Method
This paper designed a green and simple method for preparing pure nitrogen dioxide gas in a closed container, which successfully integrated the gas preparation, collection, and exhaust gas treatment together. This method not only could be used for classroom demonstration experiments, but also laid the material foundation for further research on the quantitative experiment of nitrogen dioxide dissolving in water. In addition, this method could be used to prepare other substances in oxygen-free environment.
Inquiry on the Formation of Ferric Hydroxide Colloid Particles by Digital Experiments
This paper studied the changes of conductivity and turbidity during the preparation of ferric hydroxide colloid from NaOH solution and FeCl3 solution by digital experiments. Then this paper clarified that the essential difference among solution, colloid and turbid liquid was the increasing of diameter of dispersoid particles from tetra-representation(macroscopic, microscopic, symbol and curve), which would help students understand the essence of dispersion system from the micro level.
Determination and Analysis of Precipitation pH Curve of Ferrous Sulfate, Mixed Solution of Ferric Chloride and Ferrous Sulfate Reacting with Sodium Hydroxide
Applying hand-held pH sensor, this paper measured the t-pH curve when NaOH solution titrated FeSO4, used the origin 9.0 to analyze the experimental data and discussed the effect of air on precipitation pH of Fe2+; by measuring and analyzing the pH curve of FeSO4 solution titrating NaOH, it was found that the final pH of solution was influenced by the degree of hydrolysis of metal ions; by measuring and analyzing the pH curve of NaOH titrating mixed solution of FeCl3 and FeSO4, it was found that the mutual influence of Fe3+ and Fe2+ made the change of precipitation pH; by measuring and analyzing the pH curve of FeCl3 and FeSO4 mixed solution titrating NaOH, it was verified that the degree of hydrolysis of Fe2+ and Fe3+ were different, and the existence conditions of Fe(OH)3 and Fe(OH)2 were also different.
