The average relative molecular weight of polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride, which is a novel polymer disinfectant, is determined by the viscosimetry. Using the literature values of K = 3.8 × 10-3 g/mol and α=1.01, the average relative molecular weight of the self-made polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride is 2495, when its concentration is 0.04 g/mL. The results showed that polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride with different relative molecular weight has certain antibacterial effects on escherichia coli, staphylococcus aureus, staphylococcus and pseudomonas aeruginosa at the same concentrations, and antibacterial effect is increased with the increase of relative molecular weight.

The quasi-Newton algorithm method was used to solve the equations for the program. The examples of iron (Ⅲ)-oxalate system were calculated with this program. The calculated results of iron (Ⅲ)-oxalate species were presented as the curves of specie distribution coefficient versus pH, initial total concentration of iron or oxalate ions. The software design is conducive to learning the basic theory and method of calculation for the complicated coordination systems in the course of college chemistry. Moreover this software also provides help in research works involving chemical equilibrium system of complexes.
