The relationship between sci-technological practice and comprehensive ability is still unclear. This paper investigated 127 undergraduate students who enrolled in 2011 in College of Chemistry, Jilin University, 52 of whom participated sci-technological practice. This study showed that the 52 students' average academic scores of Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Fundamentals of Computer Application and so on were higher than that of all 127 students; 69.2% of the students who won awards were those who participated sci-technological practice; the students who participated sci-technological practice accounted for 56.5% of students who got an excellent performance in thesis work, 84.4% of students got recommendation for admission to master program, and 64.3% of students who went abroad for higher education. In conclusion, sci-technological practice didn't negatively influence students' academic achievements, but improved their comprehensive ability.

The phase diagrams of completely miscible ideal two liquid components system and completely miscible ideal solid solution system are the basis of other two components phase diagrams. Based on the theory of thermodynamics of ideal solutions, the functional analysis of the two kinds of phase diagrams were done in this paper, and the theoretical phase diagrams were drawn which were in accord with the known standard ones.

According to the characteristics of basic physical chemistry experiment, we tried to introduce flipped classroom into the teaching of basic physical chemistry experiment. This paper analyzed several links of flipped classroom teaching, including preparation of micro lessons, organization of classroom and teaching evaluation. The synthesis of nylon with interfacial polycondensation method was improved from experiment contents and teaching methods. On the one hand, the time to synthesize sebacoyl chloride was shortened from 4 h to 0.5 h when 5:1 mole ratio of chlorinated sulfoxide and sebacic acid reacted under reflux. On the other hand, the toxicity of the solvent could be reduced greatly when the hexane was used instead of carbon tetrachloride. Furthermore, the teaching method was also improved. The verification experiment was explained as researching experiment with question-driven approach. All these efforts made good results in polymer chemistry experiment teaching.

The synthesis of novel alkyl substituted pyridium bromide quaternary ammonium salts was taken as an innovative training project for undergraduates,including the literature review, synthetic route design,reaction conditions optimization and structure characterization.The results showed that innovative training in scientific research could deeply strengthen interpenetration and mutual promotion of students' theoretical knowledge and scientific practical skills. In addition,the practical ability and innovation ability should be improved on the basis of building a systematic knowledge system.

With the help of video analysis and a rubric for measuring the effectiveness of instructional explanation developed by Hannah Sevian and Lisa Gonsalves, this paper made a comparative research on instructional explanation to find the differences between pre-service and in-service chemistry teachers using the teaching cases of chemical equilibrium. Results showed that the obvious differences existed in the aspects of PCK,PC and CK, specifically, in the aspects of factual knowledge, ability to transfer knowledge to broader contexts, use of mental images to support explanation and scaffolding explanation.

On the basis of full investigation, this paper determined the professional post group of industrial analysis and inspection, carried out the top-level design of laboratory technician, explored the talent training mode of working and learning alternation based on school-enterprise cooperation, constructed the curriculum system of industrial analysis and inspection and practice teaching system with four progressions, developed learning fields and projects according to the work process of laboratory technicians. The results showed that the reform and practice promoted students' professional skills and the teachers' teaching ability.

As an important subfield of physical chemistry, kinetics can provide fundamental understanding of a certain chemical reaction for further mechanistic study or rate acceleration. The methodology and principle of investigation in a quantified manner are quite different from the normal organic synthetic chemistry, which is rarely mentioned though in domestic undergraduate organic laboratory. This paper introduced a traditional organic chemistry experiment for undergraduates abroad, namely the kinetic study of SN1 solvolysis,and analyzed 3 significant aspects of the experimental process. The design and implementation of this experiment are worth applying to the Chinese undergraduate experimental education.
